What we collect

  • Your email address, only if you subscribe to The Daily Brief, together with the page you subscribed from and the time.
  • Server logs kept by our hosting provider (Vercel) for security and capacity, including IP address and user agent, retained briefly and not used to profile you.

We do not run advertising trackers, we do not sell data, and we do not set analytics cookies. Pages are static files.

Why we process it

To send you the newsletter you asked for (performance of a contract, GDPR art. 6(1)(b)) and to keep the site secure (legitimate interest, art. 6(1)(f)).

Where it is stored

Newsletter subscribers are stored with our email provider (Buttondown or Resend, depending on configuration), which acts as our processor. The site is hosted on Vercel. Both may process data in the United States under standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe with the link in any email. You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data at any time by emailing privacy@acta-jurata.vercel.app. EU and UK residents may also complain to their supervisory authority. California residents have equivalent rights under the CCPA; we do not sell personal information.

Retention

Subscriber data is kept until you unsubscribe, then deleted from the active list within 30 days.

Third-party links

Links to sec.gov and other sites are subject to those sites’ policies. Video files under /videos/ are served publicly so other platforms can republish them; they contain no personal data.

Changes

We will update this page when anything above changes and note the date at the top. Contact: privacy@acta-jurata.vercel.app. Publisher: Acta Jurata.
